The Gravenites Laflamme Band is one of the preeminent blues rock bands performing in the world today. Together as a group, Gravenites Laflamme Band represents the convergence of many roots in the heritage of popular music from over the past 50-years. The band’s legacy is cemented in the enduring popularity of its members’ careers and their iconic status. Guitarist/vocalist Nick Gravenites, the late legendary guitarist Mike Bloomfield and organist, Barry Goldberg formed Electric Flag, the seminal Chicago blues band in 1966. Nick’s song writing talents and Bloomfield’s incendiary lead guitar playing were indispensable contributions in the successful rise of careers ranging from Janis Joplin to Bob Dylan. Nick also played with Big Brother and the Holding Company, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Paul Butterfield and Chicago Blues Reunion. Virtuoso violinist David Laflamme and his former group, It’s a Beautiful Day, struck gold when he co-wrote the mesmerizing White Bird, one of the most recognizable songs from the late 1960's and a staple on FM radio to this day. He has played in various lineups with Jefferson Starship, Big Brother and the Holding Company and Dan Hicks and the Hot
Licks. Over the years, Nick and David performed together on impromptu occasions.
Following David’s return to northern California from Hollywood a few years back, he and Nick decided to permanently capture some of the magic experienced in their earlier collaborations with the present lineup. The rhythm section is comprised of drummer Roy Blumenfeld, who has played and recorded with The Blues Project, Seatrain, Chuck Berry, Al Kooper, John Lee Hooker, Carlos Santana, Elvin Bishop and Robert Hunter to name a few and bassist John Beckwith, a fixture on the northern California music scene for several decades performing with popular bands including Animal Mind, Harvey Mandel, Al Kooper and the Sonoma County Blues Society. The members of the band reside in northern California and are currently touring.

“Nick and David playing together is like a summit meeting between Howling Wolf and Stephan Grappelli,” commented Timothy Johnson, Executive Producer of the series. “Their catalogue of songs continue to influence new generations of artists seeking inspiration.”

Famed graphic artist, Dave McMacken has designed the stunning poster commemorating the event. It will be available to collectors in a standard poster format and in a special limited edition – numbered and signed by musicians and artists and very much suitable for framing.
